New Method to Test for Additional PFAS in Drinking Water

December 19, 2019

U.S. EPA validated a new method for testing PFAS in drinking water. Method 533 focuses on short-chain (i.e., carbon chain lengths between 4 and 12) PFAS and, when used in tandem with existing EPA Method 537.1, allows laboratories to measure a total of 29 PFAS in drinking water.

Method 533 and other methods are available here.
