PFAS in Biosolids: Investigations in Maine & Vermont (webinar)

Please join the Northeast Waste Management Officials’ Association (NEWMOA) for a webinar to help understand the prevalence of poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in the environment and the risk it might pose to the public. Join us to learn more and ask your questions!

1:30 to 3:00 (Eastern)

Carla Hopkins, Residuals Management Unit, Maine Department of Environmental Protection will present data from their investigations into PFAS in sludge, sludge-derived compost, septage, and land application site soils.

Vermont’s PFAS Quest Continues: from Village Greens to Land Application Sites
Eamon Twohig, Residual Waste & Emerging Contaminants Program, Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation will present the results from their investigation of PFAS occurrence in wastewater treatment facilities and at biosolids land application sites.

FREE for federal, state, and local government officials only.  All others must pay a $75 registration fee with a credit card when registering.
